Toltec" Connector

The Toltec" Connector is middleware that enables Microsoft Outlook to use an IMAP4 server while still using the functionality of the "Corporate or Workgroup" mode instead of "Internet Only" mode.

This exciting product provides Microsoft Outlook with the ability to use an IMAP4 mailbox as an Outlook information store. This information store can hold any Outlook item and is not just limited to messages.

You will now be able to share calendar information, individual folders and contacts with supported IMAP4 servers. Most of the IMAP4 servers are open source and runs on a variety of operating systems including Linux. This significantly reduces the total cost of ownership to the company.

Version 2 of this product introduces support for the Kolab-XML format that allows other clients to inter operate with the Toltec™ Connector. Currently KDE Kontact (Proko2 Branch) supports the new format and support is being added to the Horde web client. For more information about the Kolab-XML format please visit www.kolab.org

The Toltec Connector supports Outlook 2000/XP/2003/2007.

Toltec" LDAP Address Book

The Toltec" LDAP Address Book is an Outlook address book provider that provides a Global Address List from a LDAP server. The user will be able to lookup and browse all the entries in the GAL. It also provides instantaneous lookups of names in new messages when using the "Check Name" feature.

The user will be able to browse contact names, email addresses, telephone numbers and more. All entries can be save to the local address book in Outlook 2000/XP/2003/2007.

The Toltec" LDAP Address Book also caches the GAL entries to a local file. This provides offline access to the GAL when the computer is not connected to the server or the server is unavailable.

The Toltec" Address Book was developed for use with the OpenLDAP server in Kolab, but with a changeable schema it can be used to work with other LDAP servers as well.
